On Proofs of God's Existence

Dooyeweerd once said to me,

"Whatever can be proven would thereby not be God."

I don't know if he ever put that in print, but he should have. His point was, roughly, that since God is the creator of all the laws of the cosmos He is not subjected to them. This includes the laws we use to construct ptoofs. So God is not a proper object of proof; whatever those laws apply to isn't their Creator.
